May

There is a rode by our house we call "Mile High".  it's steep and long and shelley decided to take her dog there to run him and found out it is a great exercise spot and showed katie and i! Beauitful scenery with mountains on all sides.
Below is a picture of Reese, in trouble, and avoiding eye contact with all her might.  She opened Max.s dresser drawers and pulled out all of his clothes.  I told her she had to say sorry and help me clean it up and she REFUSED to say sorry.  So i thought putting her in her crib would help but she wouldn't even look at me!!! what a stinker.  she eventually said sorry, it was pretty funny and one of the first times she was showing such a BIG personality for her age.

I mentioned to Riley how much Daddy loves to shop one day when she was asking when i could take her to look around at Clair's accessories.  I told that if she went and sat on his lap and put her arms around his next and asked if he would take her on a date and go shopping that he would probably spoil her rotten. so with a little coaxing, she did just that.  They hit up a few different stores and she came home with a few new dresses, skirts and outfits! josh said they had a lot of fun!

My cute Husker

Braden gave this to me during church and said "mom! i circled all the words i can read!"  He is getting so smart :)

Another loose one!

For mother's day i continuted the tradition i set a few years back and had a picnic for my mom.  This year monte, josh and my brother and his wife came too!

Max always BEGS to ride braden's bike but it has always been too big and has no training wheels.  Well recently Max has taken an interest in his strider bike and has gotten really good at balancing on it so on a whim one evening i told josh, record this...i bet he can do it...i put max on Braden's bike and he took right off! He did great until he would stop pedaling fast enough.

While the boys were at the father and son's overnighter, katie invited us over for mani's, pedi's and facial's sleep over!  We had so much fun! It was a little insane trying to cater to that many toe nail and fingernails but we did it and all had fun.

After the kids giggled themselves to sleep the mom's stayed up to watch Grey's Anatomy

I provided donuts the next day and shelley brought the chocolate milk

Josh's brother Matthew got married to Steffani whom we all love! They had a beautiful wedding...they did have to compete with the air show going on, but i thought that only added to the magic of the day!

Braden had his first ever baseball team party, he LOVES his trophy! It was so fun watching him fall in love with the sport this season but man am i glad it's over! It was sooo busy!

Even power rangers have to practice reading!
Riley's team party was so much fun! it was at a place called the art barn.  just a barn in a local lady's back yard and she teaches how to paint! she provides everything and you walk away with your own canvas.
I couldn't of asked for a better more dedicated coach for riley! he was so nice, positive and really into his team.  she really grew this year and even received most improved player for all of 8U in the entire league!

Reese and Abigail

Max eating the first black berry of the season

At the end of the school year riley started to bring home all the work she had done.  i LOVED finding this poem.  it assures me that josh and i do some things right.

Reese's newest silly surprised face

My first 11.5 mile run.  I ran with katie and it was a heck of a course that i LOVED.  I can't not wait to do it again.  It took up from a top a mountain, through a tunnel of trees, next to fields of cows and horses, it rained on us, over freeways, next to a cemetery.  I tripped and feel hard around mile 9 and it just pumped my adrenaline even more. I think because of the ever changing scenery it made this run sooo easy!

This was from the mother and son dance last month, but it was just given out.  I think it's hilarious, all of us mom's out dancing and not a kid to be found!

Liam's first birthday

A few important milestones were hit this month!
-Reese learns to jump, she finally got her feet off the ground and loves to do it!
-Max learns how to swing by himself, he is our earliest to learn, i'm sure because we have a swing set.  he loves to swing himself!
-Braden started with this  "what if?" stuff.  Throughout the day, no matter where we are, several times a day, Braden will ask me "what if" questions.  It is very very cute.  but by about mid day i am at a loss of what to answer and how to keep my face nice and friendly.  i love that he talks to me about whatever is on his mind and i don't ever want him to think i'm annoyed (even if i am!)
examples of some of his "what if " questions:
-what if that building over there was made out of straws?
-what if we just ate ice cubes for dinner?
-what if we called diapers bananas?
-what if everyone wore chairs on their heads?
i normally just say "that would be cool!" and then we are on to the next what if
