Uncle Matt and aunt mariel called and wanted to take Riley on a trip to Knotts Berry Farm. Since we had the week off I decided to take all the kids. Lynne watched Reese since I figured all involved would have much more fun that way.
It ended being the BEST day. Weather was perfect, there were hardly any lines, kids LOVED the rides.
We arrived at knotts as the park opened at 10am and didn't leave until it closed at 6pm. We only stopped for a couple bathroom breaks and ate our food as we walked!
The first ride of the day happened to be a pretty legit roller coaster called side wonder. It's a short but compact roller coaster but the catch is as you move QUICKLY along the track the car you're in spins in circles! Braden was brave enough to try it...this was his first real roller coaster ever. He held on right and part way through I asked "are you okay?" He said "no" haha as it came to a stop he said he didn't want to do it again but by the time we were climbing off the ride he said "let's do it again right now!" So we did! He is officially my roller coaster buddy. Riley is more caustious. By the time she decided to try we didn't have the right adult/child ratio.
This ride was a favorite and they did it atleast 12times!
Max wasn't a fan of the "huff and puff" but this ride holds a dear spot in my heart. It was one of my absolute favorites as a child.
They had fun flying!
Max's first kid roller coaster. I also LOVED this as a child as got some major whip lash as an adult!
Grancy was feeling good enough to come for more then half the day! She even went on this ride with the kids.
On the swings
Photo op on our way to the calico mine ride
The Log Ride was hands down the kids favorite ride of the day. Riley said she wasn't going to do it but worked up her nerve and LOVED it. For the first three times I thought Max was too short so grancy watches him until I realized he was big enough.
Cuties. They really look like twins lately!
Thanks to Matt and Mariel for making it sub a fun day. The kids REALLY love them.
...especially Riley. Matt and her have a special connection for sure.
Max's first time on the log ride. He LOVED it as well and went many more times
Carasoul fun
On Grancys bucket list for the day was to ride the train with the robbers. It was nice to take a load off for a short while.
This cutie was scared sooo bad the first time on the mine ride. He was FROZEN. He couldn't cry, he couldn't move. He didn't want me to pick him up. Nothing. He sat with terror filled eyes as we tried to explain all the "cool" and "fake" things he was seeing...after he got off he decided he actually did like it and Grancy took him 3more times haha
Playing on the ladies!
